Key Infos

Product Description

Creatine Water: the sparkling creatine drink, 3 g per can

Creatine Water is a sparkling, sugar-free creatine drink. Every can gives you 3 g of creatine, the daily dose that works. It is made with CreaBev®, a creatine monohydrate developed for drinks and more stable in water than standard creatine monohydrate. One can a day, that's all.

Want an edge in your toughest sets? Creatine increases physical performance in successive bursts of short-term, high intensity exercise. The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 3 g of creatine, and one can a day gives you exactly that. The effect builds up as you drink one can a day, rather than kicking in with the first. Creatine Water is meant for adults who do high intensity exercise.

One can, one serving: 3 g of creatine

Your body makes creatine naturally from three amino acids: arginine, glycine and methionine. You also get some from food, mainly meat and fish. It is one of the most studied supplements in sports nutrition (Kreider et al., 2017). Its recognised effect depends on taking 3 g every day, rest days included, not on the occasional dose. With Creatine Water the serving is already measured out: one can, once a day, and you know exactly what you are taking.

Before or after your workout?

Timing doesn't seem to be crucial; consistency probably matters more. Before or after your session, at lunch or in the evening: just pick the time that suits you. To find out more, read Creatine before or after workout?

For short, very intense sets

Weight training, intervals, sprints, team sports and racket sports: these sessions string together short, very intense, repeated efforts. That is exactly the kind of exercise the authorised health claim for creatine covers, as long as you take 3 g every day. The effect builds up as you drink one can a day, rest days included, rather than kicking in with the very first can.

Creatine Water or creatine powder: which should you choose?

The difference between a can and a powder comes down to format, preparation and budget.

  • Creatine Water: a sparkling, sugar-free drink with the dose already in the can. For busy days.
  • QNT LIIFE Flavoured Micronized Creatine: a flavoured powder you mix into a glass of water. For a daily routine at home.

For a daily dose at home, creatine powder is still the most economical option. Creatine Water is made for the times when mixing up powder is a hassle.

Benefits

When it all comes down to a few seconds

Creatine increases physical performance in successive bursts of short-term, high intensity exercise. In practice: weight training sets, intervals, repeated sprints, and the bursts of speed in football, basketball, tennis or padel. The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 3 g of creatine: exactly what one can contains.

Studies: Branch, 2003 · Greenhaff et al., 1993

Something your muscles already know

There is nothing exotic about creatine: your body makes it every day and stores about 95% of it in your muscles. It is also found in meat and fish, but to get 3 g you would have to eat more than 600 g of raw steak a day. A can is simpler.

Studies: Wyss and Kaddurah-Daouk, 2000 · Harris et al., 1992

3 g a day, no loading phase

No need to start at 20 g a day. One can every day, rest days included, and your muscles' creatine stores fill up in about four weeks: the same level as with a loading phase, reached gradually. Before or after training, at the office or in the evening: timing hardly matters, consistency is what counts.

Studies: Hultman et al., 1996 · Antonio et al., 2025

Over 500 publications, 30 years of research

Creatine is one of the most studied ingredients in sports nutrition, and the International Society of Sports Nutrition considers it safe and well tolerated in healthy adults. You know what you are drinking.

Who is Creatine Water for?

Adults who do high intensity exercise. Weight training, intervals, sprints, team and racket sports: this is the kind of exercise the authorised health claim for creatine covers.

Anyone who would rather not mix their creatine. No powder to measure, no shaker to wash.

Anyone who often trains away from home. With a can in your bag, you don't have to skip a day.

Anyone new to creatine. Plan on one can a day for at least four weeks: consistency is what counts.

Creatine complements your training; it does not replace it. It fits into a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. Creatine Water is intended only for adults who do high intensity exercise and should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Studies

The studies behind each point

For each point, we chose key papers on creatine that are among the most cited in the field: meta-analyses, landmark studies and expert reviews. They are about creatine, usually in powder form, not about Creatine Water itself.

When it all comes down to a few seconds

Branch, 2003. A meta-analysis of 100 randomised, placebo-controlled studies. The effect of creatine shows most clearly in repeated efforts of 30 seconds or less, such as weight training sets. It is one of the two meta-analyses the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) relied on to recognise this effect. Read the study (International Journal of Sport Nutrition and Exercise Metabolism, 2003)

Greenhaff et al., 1993. One of the first performance studies: after 5 days of creatine, participants improved their physical performance across five successive bouts of maximal exercise. Read the study (Clinical Science, 1993)

Something your muscles already know

Wyss and Kaddurah-Daouk, 2000. The standard review of creatine in the body: how it is made, where it is stored and how it is eliminated. It is one of the most cited papers on creatine. Read the review (Physiological Reviews, 2000)

Harris et al., 1992. The landmark study: it showed that creatine taken by mouth raises the creatine content of muscle. It also calculated that a 5 g dose matches the creatine in 1.1 kg of fresh, uncooked steak. Read the study (Clinical Science, 1992)

3 g a day, no loading phase

Hultman et al., 1996. In 31 men, 3 g of creatine a day raised muscle creatine by about 20% in 28 days: the same level as a 6-day loading phase at 20 g a day, reached more gradually. Read the study (Journal of Applied Physiology, 1996)

Antonio et al., 2025. The latest review by an international team of researchers: the data do not show that timing, before or after training, is critical. What counts is taking it regularly. Read the review (Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition, 2025)

Over 500 publications, 30 years of research

Kreider et al., 2017. The official position stand of the International Society of Sports Nutrition on the effectiveness and safety of creatine, one of the most cited texts in the field. It concludes that creatine is safe and well tolerated in healthy people, in the short and the long term. Read the position stand (Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition, 2017)

Antonio et al., 2021. An international team of researchers answers the most common questions about creatine: water retention, kidneys, hair, cramps, loading phase, women, older adults. It lists more than 500 scientific publications on creatine supplementation. Read the review (Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition, 2021)

These studies do not promise individual results: creatine goes hand in hand with regular training, a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.

What is Creatine Water?

Creatine Water is QNT's sparkling creatine drink: 3 g of CreaBev® creatine in every can, sugar-free and with 100% natural flavourings. One can a day, and that's it. Your weight and your goals can also play a part in how much creatine you need: to find out more, read our complete guide Creatine monohydrate: what does it do and how should you take it?.

How many cans of Creatine Water can you drink a day?

One a day is the idea: a can gives you 3 g of creatine, the dose that works. Creatine increases physical performance in successive bursts of short-term, high intensity exercise. The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 3 g of creatine. There is no need to drink more: with creatine, consistency is what counts. And rest assured, it is one of the most studied ingredients in sports nutrition, safe and well tolerated in healthy adults. Already taking creatine powder? Creatine Water can stand in for it on the days you are on the move.

When should you drink Creatine Water?

Whenever suits you: before or after your session, at lunch or in the evening. With creatine, what matters most is consistency: one can every day, rest days included. Find out all about timing in our article Creatine before or after workout? Optimal timing guide.

How long does creatine take to work?

It varies from person to person: your weight and muscle mass play a part, and so does your diet. If you eat little meat or fish, your creatine stores start from a lower level and rise further. Generally, with one can a day, your muscles' creatine stores fill up in about four weeks, without a loading phase (Hultman et al., 1996). After that, consistency is what makes the difference. To find out more, read our complete guide to creatine. Creatine increases physical performance in successive bursts of short-term, high intensity exercise. The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 3 g of creatine.

Can you take creatine without working out?

Yes. Creatine is not just for athletes: your body makes it every day (where does creatine come from?). Researchers are also looking at its role beyond the muscles, and our article Creatine without exercise: what does it do for your body and brain? sums up what the studies say. And if you do train, one can a day gives you 3 g of creatine. Creatine increases physical performance in successive bursts of short-term, high intensity exercise. The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 3 g of creatine.

Does creatine cause weight gain or bloating?

No, creatine does not make you fat. If the scales move a little in the first weeks, that is water stored in your muscles along with the creatine, not fat. That water goes to your muscles, not your belly: they simply look fuller. At 3 g a day, the dose in one can, creatine is well tolerated: we bust the myths in our article on side effects. Creatine increases physical performance in successive bursts of short-term, high intensity exercise. The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 3 g of creatine.

Creatine Water or creatine powder: which should you choose?

Both give you your daily creatine: it comes down to your routine. At home, QNT LIIFE Flavoured Micronized Creatine mixes easily into a glass of water and remains the most economical choice. On the move, at the gym or at the office, Creatine Water is simply a sparkling, sugar-free can: no powder, no shaker. You can also alternate, powder at home and the can on the go, as long as you don't take both on the same day.

Is creatine a banned substance?

No, creatine is not doping. It occurs naturally in your body, in meat and in fish (where does creatine come from?), and it is not on the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) prohibited list. Our recipe contains no substance from that list either. Our founder comes from professional sport and would never put an athlete's career at risk: at QNT, we stand for quality, not quick wins.
